My Lipstick Collection: Dolce & Gabbana Shine Lipstick in Perla.

Posted on August 27, 2011

I am leaving the Lipstick section of my blog for a while, because Dolce & Gabbana Shine Lipstick in Perla is the last one that I want to show here, although it’s not the last one I have. I also own several Lime Crime lipsticks, purchased in the minute of mental sickness (cannot find proper words to describe my state of mind at the moment I got them, so I will just say I was fuken insane to buy those lipsticks. Lime Crime lipsticks are the worst piece of crappy substance ever existed). Although you can find an early post in this blog where I use one of them, I do not think I used it again – this stuff turns my lips into a desert. And the colors are totally unwearable.

Oh well, I think I was going to write about something nice, but digressed.

Dolce&Gabbana Shine Lipstick in Perla

Dolce & Gabbana Shine Lipstick in Perla is from this summer’s Dolce & Gabbana collection which was beautiful, and I regret I did not get the eye shadow quad in Vulcano.

This lipstick is very much in accord with it’s name, it is very pearly, the finish is frosty but gentle although it sometimes can be difficult to pull off. The shade is a neutral rosy beige, it can be applied transparently with a light hand , but I personally like to layer this lipstick thickly to cover the natural pigment of my lips (which is actually not that hard to do).

I see Dolce&Gabbana Shine Lipstick in Perla as a nude lipstick , at least it looks on me as such (but a very interesting nude, which gives an ordinary make up some twist), the rosiness is not too noticeable and I like to wear it with dark eye make up (ah, duuuh).

Dolce&Gabbana Shine Lipstick in Perla is always in my purse as it is not drying and feels good on my lips, it is easy to apply and you don’t even need a mirror to do it. Perla was a limited edition and I do not know if you can find it now, it is already not available on the Saks website, but you can check out the stores (D&G is only sold at Saks).

If you read in Russian, Blondycandy reviewed this lipstick a couple of months ago, and her post actually inspired me to take a look at it.
